My mother still lives on Dayta Drive. We moved there on July 3,1956. I remember all of these wonderful places. the 4×4 at Sid Mandell’s and the counter at Read,s drug store. We always shopped at the Food Fair. Saturday was a treat to go to Mondawmin. Woodmoor still looks good on some blocks but, others are not nice. The shopping ctr is a real mess and can be very rough.
I remember the China Clipper had the best egg rolls ever. When I moved as an adult , to MT Vernon, I would go to the China Clipper’s sit down resturant. It was on Charles Street.
We would also go to the Ambassador Movies on Liberty Hgts. This was a first class area and great place to grow up. I really miss those better days and great times.
Best Wishes and I hope to hear from you, Keith A Spivey
