For the 2009-10 ACC Basketball Season, Maryland has the Cream of the Crop. Gary Williams as ACC Coach of the Year and Senior, "I'm a Point Guard" Greivis Vasquez, named ACC Player of the Year, as well as being named First Team All-American by The Sporting News. Not to shabby for a couple of guys who have taken a lot of heat from the many in the media and more than a few fans. It's been one of the most enjoyable basketball seasons in many years for Maryland fans. Hey, we're Co-Champs for the regular season. There are no unbeatable teams in college basketball and the Terps are playing their best ball of the year. Who knows? Could the hoop g-ds be with us and we somehow return to the Final 4? Just think back to the George Tech game. Not 1, but 2 buzzer beaters for the win. When was the last time you've ever seen that? How about never! Several years ago any Maryland basketball fan would say...."Are you kidding?" A Maryland team going to the Final 4. But since we've been there before..not once, but twice....Ya never know. Go Terps!
