It took Rick Barnes to make Dino Gaudio look like a genius. Texas, overflowing with talent has been a major disappointment this year. But it was a tremendous play by Ish Smith —a 15 foot jumper as time was running out that led to the 1st win for the ACC in the tournament.

The Unbeatable Big East–what????????  Georgetown was literally humbled by the Ohio Bobcats. -Who?  97 points? Ohio? Are you kidding me. As I watched the Big East tournament this weekend I kept thinking to myself why are these games in the low 50s. These teams can’t score. What a disastrous day for the reputation of this supposed great conference. Villanova struggled and was outright lucky to overcome a 8 point deficit to #15 seed Robert Morris. Marquette and Notre Dame went down to late defeats. 1-3 for the Best Conference. Brey and JT 3 go down.

Beware there are no upsets. Anything goes with these mid-majors. Is the talent gap really that great.
