The Montreal Canadiens did the improbable yet again and took down the Penguins in Game 7. Personally, I think the Habs win tonight starts to remove some of the pain and frustration caused by the Caps losing in the first round. First off, seeing Pittsburgh and Crosby move on would’ve been sickening for all hockey fans in this area. The Canadiens’ win tonight also serves to show that maybe they are a wee bit better than their 8-seed shows.
Nonetheless, still no excuses for the Caps. A 3-1 lead in the series. Tons of elite offensive players. Oh well, there’s always next year.
BRUCE ADDS—-Crosby left it all in the Olympic series. The Olympics were meant for amateurs. This years games greatly effected the NHL. The Commissioner is dead on in not allowing the Olympics to interrupt the NHL season.
