Terrapin Nation Slow To Accept Departure of Jordan Williams

It’s almost like no one can believe it.  If JW was going to be a clear cut first round pick nobody could blame him for leaving. But there is even some doubt as to whether he will be drafted at all. Remember the NBA draft is only a 2 round affair. A second round pick or a coplete blank would probably lead JW across the ocean to play in Europe. Thereis nothing wrong with that but………….A return to a much improved Terrapin team and a chance for real March Madness exposure would surely place Jordan in the top 15 or 20 players selected. No need to learn Italian. I just don’t see it.

    from the sunpapers online 3-29

Maryland football player Cameron Chism told me today that he is in a leadership class with Terps basketball player Jordan Williams.

Chism said he and Williams are working on a class presentation together.

But the funny thing is that — according to Chism — Williams hasn’t been in class lately.

“It’s been two weeks,” Chism said. “And the class meets twice a week. I hope he doesn’t leave me hanging.”

Think he’ll learn the hard way…there’s the NBA Development League and Europe too…he’s not ready for the NBA!!! All teams will do is foul him…that’s what happens when you surround yourself around greedy people that you think have your best interest…

He was pretty awesome in high school in Torrington, CT. He actually broke the backboard during a game once. http://bit.ly/dN6fDH
