Wizards Trying To Move Up in Draft to Get Derrick Williams

I just don’t believe the Bullets are unwilling to give up JaVal McGee to get the Arizona forward. Excluding John Wall there should not be anyone untouchable on this squad. Jordan’s fate seems to be in the 2nd round. That would be a shame.

why would you want to give up a young 7-1 atheltic center for a 6-8 forward with 2 yrs college experience? as for jordan williams. he hasn’t exhibited any ability to shot from more than 5 feet from the basket, has shown only limited moves around the basket, can’t put the ball on the floor, not a good passer, doesn’t jump well and has to play a new position in the pros. there are not many 6-9 260 lbs players in college but in the pros there are lots of guys who are the same size as jordan with superior athletic and basketball skills. i wish the kid well and i hope he has along successful pro career but….

I wonder if Jordan made a mistake in losing weight after the college season. I know he pictures himself as an NBA 4, but his skill profile definitely seems to fit in better as an undersized 5. His best attribute is his rebounding ability. He was already going to be at a quickness disadvantage at the 4, but now he might not have the bulk to throw around either and that’s been one of his best strengths. He also seems like he’s been physically worn down and that could be because he lost too much weight quickly.

i don’t think jordan can play center in the nba. that said i don’t think he can play forward in the. my advice to him would be learn to speak italian or hebrew….make some money in europe or isreal, improve your skills and hope to get chance to play in the nba in 2 to 3 yrs.
