It seems like the search committee landed a winner in replacing Michigan bound Erik Bakich. A few of the guys who closely follow the Terrapin nine were ecstatic with the hire of John Szefc.. Much of Bakich’s success was based on the work of his 3 assistants, the Baltimore legend, Bernie Walter, recruiting coordinator Dan Burton, and volunteer assistant Eric Milton. Look, the new Coach has every right to select his assistants but the recruiting successes of Walter and Burton were the key ingredient to Maryland’s recent surge. Coach Szefc will be on Terp Talk next Thursday night.
