#6 Terrapin Soccer Defeats BC 3-2 at Chesnut Hill

Junior Hayley Brock scored in the 92nd minute to give the No. 6 University of Maryland women’s soccer team a 3-2 overtime victory over No. 23 Boston College at the Newton Campus Lacrosse and Soccer Field.

The victory lifts the Terps to 11-3-2 overall on the season and to 6-1-1 in ACC play. The win also keeps the Terrapins atop the ACC standings with 19 points. The Eagles fall to 8-5-2 overall and 2-4-0 in the conference.

“We were under a ton of pressure tonight by a good athletic Boston College team,” said Maryland head coach Jonathan Morgan. “For the first time all season I think we were clearly dominated in the run of play. However, our group showed their character tonight. Even when the soccer wasn’t good and it seemed like nothing could go our way, our girls dug in and found a way to get a much-needed result.
