Looking at Wake Forest
  • Wake Forest will celebrate Homecoming Weekend by hosting Maryland this Saturday at BB&T Field.
  • Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. and will be broadcast on ESPNU. It can also be heard on the Wake Forest Sports Network and online at WakeForestSports.com.Last time Out
  • Behind big days from seniors Tanner Price and Michael Campanaro, Wake Forest rolled to a 28-13 victory over NC State on Oct. 5.
  • Price finished with a career-high 82 yards rushing and also threw three touchdowns to go along with a rushing touchdown.
  • Campanaro caught 12 passes for 153 yards and two touchdowns. He was named ACC Receiver of the Week for his efforts.
  • The defense also bounced-back in a big way from a disappointing performance at Clemson, holding NC State to just one touchdown and almost 100 yards under their season rushing average.
  • After NC State took a 10-7 lead with 39 seconds left in the first half, the Deacons answered with a five-play, 75-yard scoring drive in 33 seconds to steal the momentum for the rest of the game.Wake Forest Storylines
  • Head coach Jim Grobe is on the brink of history as he is just one win shy of tying “Peahead” Walker for the school record of 77 career victories.
  • Senior flanker Michael Campanaro is 11 receptions away from breaking Desmond Clark’s school-record of 216 career receptions. He has caught 10 or more passes in two games this season and is 1st in the ACC in receptions per game (8.8) this season.
  • The Demon Deacons are 8-5 following a bye week under head coach Jim Grobe.
