Watching Steve Mike-Myer kick a kickoff 10 yds past the end line and Phil Waggonheim punt a ball over 40 yds. When I first came to MD. Roy Lester was the coach and the kickoffs went about 30 yds and the punts maybe 25 yds.
Watching Jerry Claiborne take a dead program to a very good program culminating with a Number One ranking with Mark Manges at qb.
Watching Randy White tackle everybody whether it was on the football field, on the mall, in class…He just tackled everyone everywhere.
Being at the MD-Alabma game with 54,000 fans. We outplayed Bear’s team but lost. A high even though we lost.
