Driving home from DC in a driving snow, I was forced to slow down and miss the NIT Selection show. About 9PM, I called Wayne Viener and asked –”so who are we playing. ” His response after he accused me of kidding him, was “We didn’t make the NIT.”
Now I for one have repeatedly stated that I couldn’t care less about the NIT. But I will admit, I find it unbelievable not to have made it.
Anyway that’s 7 years out of 10 not getting a ticket to the dance.
By the way, Commissioner Swofford was probably celebrating Maryland’s 2013-14 final reckoning. I guess he had nothing to do with Coach K’s lobbying for NC State to get a ticket, which it did. Absolutely nauseating. Rooted very hard for UVA today. Coach Tony Bennett has done a remarkable job there.
I am confident that Coach Turgeon will clear this up. Who is good and who is bad? How will the next 4 recruits fit in? Is Melo Trimble a point guard? Can we rely on Mitchell and Cleare?
