Once Again Charlie Raff dominated the X position (20 of 24 )but this week Maryland finished their 6 on 6 offense.

On to the ACC Tournament as the #1 Seed. Who do we face–Notre Dame again. Only in the ACC!!!!
Notre Dame Coach Kevin Corrigan was quoted post game:
“We came back and it was 8-8 with six or seven minutes to go in the game and we didn’t have the ball again,” Notre Dame head coach Kevin Corrigan said. “Literally, I don’t think we had a single six-on-six possession after that point. You can’t play the whole game at one end of the field. They kicked our butts in faceoffs all day long. That and us failing to clear a couple times hurt because you can’t win if you don’t have the ball.”

Maryland and Notre Dame will meet again in just six days in the semifinals of the ACC tournament. The Terrapins will be the No. 1 seed and will be the home team against the No. 4 seed Fighting Irish. That game will faceoff at 7:30 p.m. at PPL Park in Chester, Pa. No. 2 seed Duke and No. 3 seed Syracuse will square off in the first semifinal at 5 p.m.

• With today’s 12-8 win/loss Maryland is now 5-1 all-time vs. Notre Dame.
• With four points on three goals and an assists, senior Mike Chanenchuk now has 15 hat tricks, 39 multi-point and 28 multi-goal games for his career.
• Chanenchuk extended his consecutive point-scoring streak to 35 games with the four-point effort.
• With two points on two goals, sophomore Henry West now has six multi-point and three multi-goal games for his career.
• With two points on two goals, junior Joe LoCascio now has eight multi-point and four multi-goal games for his career.
• With two points on two goals, freshman Matt Rambo now has eight multi-point and seven multi-goal games for his career.
• With four points on three goals and an assist, freshman Connor Cannizzaro now has three hat tricks, eight multi-point and seven multi-goal games for his career.
