What an absolutely magnificent night at Camden Yards. I honestly questioned whether or not the Orioles would ever win the AL East again. But that was before the arrival of Buck.
Buck starts Jimenez. Incredible –I honestly thought there was no way the O’s would win Tuesday. Jimenez gave us 5 Jimenez innings and yes the forgotten man gets the W.
Hitting heroes–Pearce, Paredes, and yes De Aza —Mr Triple.
I felt sorry for Chris Davis having to miss the celebration due to his suspension.
I felt great for Nick Markakis who missed the playoffs 2 years ago after getting thrown at by CC Sabathia.
Bottom line–one of the great managerial jobs ever by our own Buck Showalter. I think back to the day he was hired and my friend Ray Schulte called me up and said the Orioles will be losers no more. You have the “man” at the helm. Never was a truer word spoken.
There is much more work left to be done but for the being the O’s are “Back in the Saddle Again”
