Ohio State enters Saturday’s contest on the heels of a 50- 28 rout of Cincinnati in Columbus. The Buckeyes lone loss came to Virginia Tech at home and have already played in Maryland once this season; a 34-17 victory over Navy in Baltimore.
Quarterback J.T. Barrett has been explosive since taking over for the injured Braxton Miller, averaging 271.8 yards passing per game and tossing 13 TDs. Barrett has also been an issue for defenses on the ground, having rumbled for 205 yards and a score this season.
Michael Thomas and Devin Smith have been sensational at wide out for the Buckeyes. Thomas leads the team in receptions (13) and is tied with Smith for the team lead in receiving TDs (4). Smith is averaging a staggering 30.9 yards per catch and 44 percent of his receptions have gone for touchdowns.
Head coach Urban Meyer has been successful at all his head coaching stops, highlighted by his two national titles at the University of Florida. Meyer is 27-3 with Ohio State and led the Buckeyes to the Orange Bowl last season.
