  • Iowa has won three straight games coming into Saturday scoring 31.0 points per game in that stretch. The Hawkeyes have excelled partly due to their discipline, ranking t-2 in the country in fewest penalties (22) and t-19 in turnovers lost (7).
  • Quarterback Jake Rudock returned to the starting lineup against Indiana and tossed 19 completions for 210 yards and two scores in a 45-29 win over the Hoosiers. Rudock has completed 67.5 percent of his passes for the season and averages just over 200 yards per game.
  • At 240 pounds, Mark Weisman is a powerful inside runner for the Hawkeyes. The senior has eight touchdowns so far this season and is averaging 58.2 yards per game.
  • Kevonte Martin-Manley and Damond Powell both average just over 40 yards receiving per game, but accumulate those numbers in very different ways. Martin-Manley has 29 catches and averages 8.4 yards a catch. Powell has nabbed just nine balls, but averages 26.9 yards per reception. Powell has two TD grabs to Martin-Manley’s one.
  • Kirk Ferentz is in his 16th season at Iowa – the longest tenure in the Big Ten. He has led the Hawkeyes to two BCS bowls and two Big Ten titles in that span. Ferentz has won Big Ten Coach of the Year three times (2002, 2004, 2009).
