Observations after a much needed win by the Terps:

The Greyhounds came ready to play tonight and punched out an early 2-0 Lead  The #3 Terps came storming back and late in the 3rd quarter led 10-7

Loyola refused to disappear and tied up the game at 10. Then Joe LoCasio foundBriab Cole in front of the cage for the game winner. Kyle Bernlohr proceeded to make 2 late saves to preserve the victory.

After waltzing through their last 3 games, Maryland needed this test–no matter what the outcome would have been. Tillman said post game that he really wants to continue this rivalry game annually.

Another game in incredibly bad weather for Maryland.

If the Terps are fortunate to advance to the final four weekend, having played this quick turnaround game will be asset.

Jay Carlson contributed 3 goals for Maryland while Brian Sherlock took advantage of being short sticked with 4 goals for Loyola.
