Comments on a Classic Maryland Johns Hopkins Game

What a spectacular day for Maryland Lacrosse:

You know what I believe is one of the biggest weapons for Hopkins—that Band. Every time Hopkins scores the song and count rubs into my soul.

In my mind the 2 best teams were on the field for the nightcap. I thought that Maryland was loose as a goose and Hopkins was wound up a bit too tight in the warmups.

On The Sports maven Saturday morning, I said I did believe that Maryland had an edge having been in final fours recently while Hopkins had not. The led Maryland to the first half edge.

Rambo came of age Saturday with 4 goals and 2 assists including the 2 go ahead goals at 10-10.

After watching the replay, I am not sure what a legal hit is anymore, and the rooting for Hopkins by the announcers was revolting.

I am tired of blaming officials because at the end of the day you only remember the winner not the controversies. I just hope there is no controversy at the end of the game Monday.

Jay Carlson-a pure leader—3 goals for the Senior who always seems to be at the right place.

JoLo was quiet yesterday so look for a breakout game on Monday. His presence and his wicked shot keeps the opponent off guard.

Charlie Raffa won the face-off battle and even scored a goal. One of his counterparts, Hunter Mooreland will be a force for Hopkins over the next 3 years.

Tillman Pietramala matchups are just incredible and we are lucky to probably have multiple yearly matchups in the future.

Case Ikeda, Mac Pons, and Matt Dunn were able to quiet the Hopkins Offense attack for a while. But the superb Blue Jay offense rebounded strongly at the 10-5 deficit.

Perfect weather, Super game, perfect result (for Terrapin nation) bring on the Pioneers.
