this is the first video for this game i’ve watched. quite surprised there was so little mention of carter. his best game as a terp. no way md is close without his performance. and no mention of how well the terps protected the ball in the second half. no mention of the free throws or lack of free throws each team had. very little said about sulaimon who had a double double.
melo plyed well down the stretch and he had 7 assists and only one turnover, plus making like 11 of 12 from the line but let’s not forget he shot 2-12 from the field.
what this shows, and this is not the first time this yr, is md can win when melo doesn’t shoot well. big reason why this team wins. someone is always picking up the slack for someone else.
defense was md’s best friend today. purdue 3-15 on 3’s. some were bad shots but the d contributed to that a lot a. purdue shoots only 40% from the field same as md. terps went to the line 27 times making 24, purdue 2-5 from the charity stripe. .dodd played great d in his limited minutes.
