“Jake is a high character young man with a skill set we value on both ends of the floor,” said Blazers President of Basketball Operations Neil Olshey. “His ability to defend multiple positions and shoot the ball from range will be positive additions to our roster.”
Orlando had originally selected Layman in the 47th overall pick.
Layman, 22, is a 6 foot 9 forward who played 4 years with the Terps. He’s an athletic big man with a 39 and a half inch vertical. He averaged 10 points a game his senior year.
