Terps Take Down Sparty 28-17 –Excellent Game Plan & Execution

What a thoroughly enjoyable night at College Park.

Coach Durkin devised just a perfect plan of offensive urgency to keep MSU on its heels.

Certainly Perry Hills played his best game ever for the Terps and his return to the lineup was the perfect antidote to ending the dismal 2 game losing streak.

Perry ws 21-27 for 200 yards with 0 interceptions.

Ty Johnson and Lolo Harrison combined for 239 yards rushing.

Leverne Jacobs had 9 catches for 67 yards and the closeout TD.

To me the key was the offensive urgency, the lack of the drive killing holding calls, and Durkin’s all out attack strategy.

The Terps move to 5-2 and 2-2 in the Big Ten. One more win for bowl eligibility. Among the 5 remaining game 3 are with Nebraska, Michigan, and the previously undefeated Ohio State.

Penn State, a 19 point underdog, outplayed Ohio state and probably ended the Buckeyes chances at a National Championship. Sorry, Urban. Michigan coasted to a 33-14 win over Illinois. Jim having a much better season then John.

The Terps travel to Bloomington to face Indiana in their 1st attempt this to become bowl eligible.

Jeckyl and Hyde is Maryland football at the moment. I liked the easy schedule at first because I was of the mindset we sucked and needed a miracle to win 6 games.
Now after seeing Maryland lose on the road to PSU and realizing we shoulda, woulda and coulda beat them if not for the penalties which continually gave them chances and a hurt Hills proved how big the drop off it is at the QB position the following week vs Minnesota. (Another game we should have won)

I looked at two blown opportunities.
Now I see a team that got punched in the mouth 3 weeks in a row and won 1 so far.
Now my question is do we look at the next 4 games as a program defining moment and tackle the challenges of @Indiana, @Michigan, OSU and @Nebraska or let the moment get to big for us.
No I didn’t forget about Rutgers
