Sophomore Austin Henningsen won 13-of-17 faceoffs and tallied a career-high three points to lead the No. 2 Maryland men’s lacrosse team to a resounding 19-5 victory over High Point Saturday at Maryland Stadium.

Senior Matt Rambo’s hot streak continued in the win with six points on three goals and three assists, marking his sixth straight game with at least six points since 2016. Over his last nine games, Rambo has totaled 53 points (5.9/g) on 26 goals and 27 assists. He has 19 points on nine goals and 10 assists through three games.

Maryland’s high-powered offense had 11 different goal scorers, including hat tricks from Connor Kelly and Dylan Maltz. The Terrapin offense has totaled 50 goals through three games and has scored at least 15 goals in each of its first three games for the first time since 1998.

The Terrapin defense was outstanding in the win, holding the Panthers to just four goals over the final 57:33 of the game. Junior goalie Dan Morris tied his career-high with 12 saves in net, while Tim Muller and Adam DiMillo each caused a pair of turnovers.
