Terps Draw 6 Seed In The Western (San Jose) Bracket

The Terps open up Thursday night at 6:50 against Xavier i Orlando.

The winner of the above game will play the Winner of Florida Gulf Coast and FSU on Saturday.

Some things I Believe

The Terps were rated over Wisconsin, Northwestern, Michigan, and Michigan State

Wisconsin was a surprise #8 Seed but the Terps earned the higher status because of its 7-2 road record.

Over most of the Big 10 Season Melo could just not get a call. Why? Because every Big 10 coach for 2 years now has been beating the drum that most of the fouls on Melo were just good acting jobs

by Melo. Izzo, Collins, Pitino, Miles, etc would jump up and down every time Melo went to the line.

Don’t be surprised if Melo gets to the line more in the tournament.

Adrian Branch said last night—Melo should be shooting more not less.

What a difference a 6 seed makes–the draw would lead us to 3 seed FSU instead of a showdown with one of the dreaded 2 seeds.

Tournament play just didn’t mean as much this year as Regular Season Title Winners were afforded better seeds even if they lost the Conference tournament

Terps are a 2 point favorite over Xavier,17-1 to win the West Region and 90-1 to win the title.

The Terps have to be much tougher then they were last Friday.
