Brilliant Performance by Terps Falls 1 Point Short 68-67 Michigan from BP

Yes this was a very tough loss but there was so much to be gained from the performance tonight. Turgeon had this team so prepared. With the existing injury problems, there is no way a better performance could have been tuned in.

In the past 2 road losses the team seemed to run out of gas after great starts. Not tonight. Turge took the air out of the ball and continually used up most of the shot clock throughout the game. Remember Michigan is the reigning big 10 Champs and just defeated Sparty on the road.

Michigan was at a loss early on. The Wolverines manage but 20 1st half points and it took an incredible hot streak of treys to get a hold of the game at 59-49. But the Terps played their hearts out. Cowan was brilliant throughout the game. Turge spread out the timeouts to keeps his guys somewhat rested. It was a great play to get Huerter free for the 3 and yes even Rafferty and Gus Johnson screamed out “for the win” when Kevin’s shot went in.

Turgeon was upset post game that he didn’t get his message through to make sure Michigan had to retreat to get the in bounds pass. Things happen in the spur of the moment.

But the performance on the road tonight showed an incredible plus as the team gets used to playing short handed.

Why am I encouraged tonight?

Because Dion Wiley hopefully will be back Thursday. He could have made a huge difference tonight.

Minus the upcoming Purdue game on Jan 31–The Terps have played their 3 toughest games of the year on the road.

6 games remain at home and yes I believe the Terps could win them all even Sparty. The best of this year is yet to come.

           I promise!!!!!!!
