28 years is way too long not to be in a World Series. Therefore every year I kind of pretend that the AL team is my team.

Ron Washington is a much more likeable guy then LaRussa. If I lived in St Lous I would still be upset about the Hawks leaving because I could never be a baseball fan. La Russa turns games into boring epics with his incessant changes.

None of the announcers said that Cruz played a fly ball that should have been caught into a triple. I just don’t know enough about Texas to know if Washington had any moves left to put in his best defensive team. Markakis would have been waiting for that ball to fall in his glove. Cruz has a great arm but…………..

So tonight the stars are lined up against Texas—Carpenter pitching —Big Mo is on the Cards side—the starter for Texas got hammered in his last start—Feliz was pathetic—Holland was used up–St Louis , probably the best baseball town in America is at fever pitch–La Russa plays every game likes its the 7th game–Things couldn’t be any better for a Cardinal victory

My prediction–Texas 5 Cards 3

Here’s a few reasons why:

Ivan Nova vs Doug Fister—history usually repeats itself

The game is in New York

The Tigers will not use Verlander no matter what but CC is available

Definitely worth watching.

Meanwhile the 2 NL series will go to a 5th game on Friday as Zona and St Louis evened the score. Look for the Phillies with the best pitcher in baseball Roy Halladay to prevail. Prince will go deep and the Brewers will defeat Arizona.

Dodgers owner Frank McCourt has reportedly been offered $1.2 billion to sell the team to Los Angeles Marathon founder Bill Burke.A letter to McCourt outlining the offer was disclosed to The Los Angeles Times by sources close to the situation. The letter states that the offer would be funded in part by Chinese investors.
The sales price would be a record for a major league franchise, breaking the mark set two years ago when the Ricketts family paid $845 million to buy the Chicago Cubs from Tribune Co.
