It is difficult to understand how Cain Velasquez was able to thoroughly defeat Brock Lesnar who seems twice his size. The Undertaker, present at the match was also shocked and immediately challenged Lesnar to a match at Wrestlemania. It won’t happen however because Lesnar is under full contract to the UFC. Interesting story–I think.
In the much ballyhooed battle, tonght it was no contest as Brock Lesnar avenged his earlier defeat at the hands of Frank Mir. In the 2nd round Lesnar pummeled Mir so badly the ref was forced to stop the fight. Check out the weigh in event:
Nick Diaz avenged the 21 second KO of his mentor Cesar Gracie in 2006 by destroying Frank Shamrock in the 2nd round before 15200 in San Jose. At the urging of local MMA promoter Scott Wagner, I have begun to watch these battles. A product of the Gracie discipline, Diaz used his superior reach and boxing skills to put an end to the 36 year old legend. The telling blow was a right to the mid rib section of Shamrock that doubled him over and according to Shamrock “knocked the crap out of me.”
