Brian Sereno, PR Director of the Wizards has informed me that the Wizards will observe Landon Milbourne in a tryout session at Verizon this afternoon.

Greivis To Make NBA Draft Decision By Sunday Night

June 15 is just around the corner and Terrapin nation awaits the final decision from Greivis Vasquez. After a reported so so combine in Chicago, Greivis has continued his private workouts with various NBA teams and will complete that process on Saturday with a New Jersey Net workout. According to terrapin times.com Greivis is likely to announce his decision by Sunday night. It will be interesting what the immediate reaction from the Lance Stephenson camp will be upon hearing of Greivis’ decision. We will have much more to say about this on Terp Talk this Thursday night.

It’s a packed Thursday night show this week. Internet sports genius, David Katz formerly of Yahoo Sports and now sportsfanlive.com will be in along with Dino to Co Host. As I am writing this, I am trying to get Brian Sereno, PR Director of he Wizards to call in to report on how Greivis performed at his workout in Washington Thursday morning. Of course we will preview the Lady Terps quest for the NCAA Title in lacrosse this weekend at Johnny Unitas Stadium. We will take a look back at the Men’s lacrosse season. Wizards Lose (Fortunately) -Still Tied for 2nd in Blake Griffin Sweepstakes—- Flip Offered 4 Year 19 Million Contract

As Chris Bosh swished his 3 point shot with 9 seconds to go after another Wizard collapse, I breathed a sigh of relief. The Wizards needs to lose to the Celtics on Wednesday and hope the Cliipers win at home against the Thunder. This sequence of events would put the Bullets in 2nd position (19%) to land Blake Griffin. Following up last night’s report, despite denials from the Wizards PR dept, Flip Saunders has been offered a 4 year 19 milliom dollar deal. Flip has the 9th highest win percentage among NBA Coaches with over 900 games. He will be a great fit for the Wizards and along with Sam Cassell as his assistant might just lead the Wiz to the promised land. Well Done Ernie!!!!! Future Mystic Marissa Coleman was at the Wizards game tonight and received a thunderous ovation when introduced.

Thursday night on Terp talk we will have the Wizards PR Director Brian Sereno direct from the WAr Room. My guess as of now—either Roy Hibbert from Gtown or Robin Lopez from Stanford. Both guys are 7 footers and would sure up the center position for the Bullets. Jmaes Gist anxiously awaits his fate in the draft–look for recent Grad to be picked in the mid 2nd round and be utilized as a wing man (3). In other Basketball news, it was a great day for a former Terp star, terrence Morris who has found his niche in European Ball and signed a 5 million Euro contract with a top tier Russian club. No word on the fate of Sean Mosley yet–fingers still crossed!!!

The O’s venture into the home of the hottest team in baseball, the Chicago Cubs. First game is Tuesday night at Wrigley. Funny how the Brian Roberts deal never finalized yet both teams are probably better off it didn’t–at least I know the Cubs are!!!!! After MacPhail’s 5 for1 trades withe Houston and Seattle have been so one sided, I doubt if Andy would be able to pull off a duplicate in the near future.

As Maryland waits for its slots referendum, Florida gaming received a big boost with the addition of Blackjack at the Hard Rock Casino. Magna was unable to pull off the same deal at Gulfstream. Maryland should be proactive with the adds of other gaming events besides slots but what the heck we are already 10 years behind. Look for Delaware to co-opt the state and introduce table games and sports betting.

The reigning NBA Champs have been eliminated. Kobe Bryant set himself apart from the reat of the league with an incredible closeout performance. Nothing can stop the Lakers. Tonight the Celts will eliminate the Pistons mainly due to an elbow injury to Rip. This will be the prelude to a 4-1 series win for the Lakers.

Manny Ramirez comes to town tonight seeking his 500th homer. The Baseball draft is only 5 days away. Look for the O’s to grab one of the power hitters with the 4th pick. Oriole scout, Dean Albany was on Terp Talk last night and spoke glowingly about Terrapin pitcher Scott Swinson.

All American 197 lb wrestler Hudson Taylor has been named Scholar Athlete of the ACC for wrestling. Congrats Hudson. James Gist continues to impress all observers at the NBA tryout camp in Orlando. It seems as if he has improved his short range jump shot.
