RB Caleb Porzel Leaves Maryland

July 22nd, 2010 · No Comments · Maryland Football

I guess I will never get to see Caleb turn the corner and go for 6 for the Terps. Due to academic problems Porzel has left the team and the university.  The following is from the Jeff Barker’s Tracking the Terps in the Sun: Maryland running back Caleb Porzel is no longer enrolled at the [...]

Terrapin Football Looking For Some Redemption Vs FSU

November 21st, 2009 · No Comments · Maryland Football

It’s a character game game for the Terps. But I believe it’s a great test for QB Jamrr Robinson. I am curious to see if Coach Franklin instituted any option type running this week since Georgia Tech shredded this team when they met. Jamrarr has that capability and combine him with the return or Da’Rel [...]

Terps Now 2-6 After Loss to Blue Devils 17-13

October 24th, 2009 · No Comments · Maryland Football

There is very little to say after today’s loss, in which a disappointing season keeps getting worse. Some observations of another tough conference game. I listened to 90% of the game and enjoyed it much more then watching on a stuttering 360.  I just finished watching the replay on 360 but it should be noted that [...]

UVA 20 Terps 9—–When Will the Mistakes End?

October 18th, 2009 · 2 Comments · Uncategorized

There is not much to say. Another winnable game against a mediocre team  goes down the drain due to 4 turnovers. Some observations of a wet cold Saturday. One play probably told us about the present and future. Sporting a 9-6 lead, Caleb Porzel turned the right corner as he passed the line of scrimmage [...]

October 14th, 2009 · No Comments · Maryland Football

There was a bright smile across the face of QB1 Chris Turner as Bruce Campbell returned to the practice fild today. Since he left the Clemson game 2 weeks ago, the Terps have been out of sync. Paul Pinegar returns to the right tackle position he is much more comfortable with. Now that Bruce is [...]

Riley Skinner Torches the Terps With 4 TD Passes as Wake Wins 42-32

October 11th, 2009 · 1 Comment · Maryland Football

The score was not indicative of the onesidedness of the game. That being said Chris Turner had a decent game tossing 3 TDs of his own. Some observations: Caleb Porzel burned his redshirt as expected but was ineffective in 3 rushing attempts. Have no fear this kid will be great. The return of Bruce Campbell [...]

DJ Adams (power runner) and Caleb Porzel (speed) are expected to burn their redshirts and debut for the Terps tonight at Wake. These 2 Freshmen will excite us for the next 4 years. I can’t wait to see Caleb turn the corner, although without Bruce Campbell in the lineup it might not happen until next [...]

Running Back Battle at Maryland

August 25th, 2009 · No Comments · Maryland Football

The plethora of talent at the skill positions for Terrapin football is creating a healthy competition for depth chart rankings at the running back position. The biggest improvement in the scrimmage Sunday was the running game. Redshirt freshman Gary Douglas had a team-best 122 yards on 17 carries, while Morgan Green ran for 56 yards on 10 carries. The [...]
