A Few Thoughts on LeBron’s Post Game Comments

To begin with, LeBron’s 4th quarter performance in game 6 was bizarre. He continually passed up wide open shots, never looked to the hoop when his team needed him, and baffled millions of basketball fans who have watched him go 1 on 3 sometimes down the wire and be successful. 3 straight years he basically knocked the Wizards out of the playoffs by himself with great 4th quarter play.

That being said the press asked some of the most inane, insulting postgame questions I have ever heard.

“Does it bother you that so many people are happy to see you fail?”

“Did you choke”

LeBron should have stood up and walked out. The Miami press aide should have chided the reporters asking such insulting questions. LeBron could not take it anymore so he lashed out a diatribe criticizing those who hate him. He was goaded into what he said. It’s ridiculous to attack an athlete 15 minutes after the worst performance of his career. that’s my take and I am sticking to it.

Get out the fishin poles for the Bulls. My guess it will be over by Thursday and Dallas and the Heat will square off Monday night. My prediction —Dallas in 5. They are jusat too deep for the Heat.

The Heat has found its path—11 in a row–last night at the mecca of basketball—MSG. LeBron has never looked better. Tonight I guess we catch an exhibition against the Wiz. Rumors are swirling that Gilbert is heading to Orlando. Normally a big story, but not yesterday.

The King Reigns in Cleveland–Reminiscent of the Pearl’s Return to Baltimore

LeBron was simply awesome last night at the Q in Cleveland. Amid chants of Traitor and Akron Hates You, the once revered King and his mates took it to the Cavs. LeBron scored 38, as his team had his back and humiliated Cleveland. Turn the clock back 29 years , when the Pearl held out and forced a trade to New York. A similar kind of venom flowed through Baltimore that night as Earl returned to Baltimore. Boos and a feeling of betrayal was in the air. But let’s be real it was all about money. To this day Earl admits it was never the same after he left Baltimore. anyway, Earl put on a show never to be forgotten.Here is a video tribute to the greatest Bullet of all time Earl The Pearl Monroe: (Roman, Freddie, Ricklen, Irv, and every Bullet fan will love this)

It seems like The King and Dwade are throwing their coach under the bus.. The 8-7 Heat got beaten like a drum by Orlando and are now 8-7. LeBron figures Riley can turn things around. I doubt it. The Lakers are twice the team as the Heat . No winner like Kobe, and PF/C like Pao exists on the Heat. With all of these gret scorers the Heat desparately misses Mike Miller. Sorry King–no ring.

Stev Blake banged home 2 threes to help the Lakers secure another road win in Chicago. Mention Stevie’s name to the Zen Master and all you see are smiles.

Jordan and Barkley Can’t Understand LeBron’s Move

The longer this goes the more fans are wondering what will an NBA title really mean to LeBron’s legacy. This is certainly not to say that LeBron was not within his rights as a free agent to play wherever he wanted to. NBA owners can’t complain about the mess of free agency they have created.

Nik Caner Medley Excels in Summer League Game vs The Wiz

The Wiz blacked out Greivis’ first game with Memphis. It will be shown Tuesday morning at 10AM. Greivis played 17 minutes with 2 points, 3 rebounds, and 4 assists. John Wall again led the Wizards with his stellar play. His court sense is incredible, scoring 18 with 10 assists. Caner Medley dropped in 17 for the Clippers, nailing 3 threes. The more I watch Wall, I just can’t see how Gilbert will be able to coexist with the Rookie.

Elsewhere in the NBA, the Heat resigned Udonis Haslem, the Lakers signed Derek Fisher at a lower salary then Steve Blake, Dan Gilbert was fined $100 large for his excessive criticism of LeBron, James Gist scored 8 points with 2 blocks for San Antonio.

LeBron To Miami—Is His Legacy Tarnished? How Does This Relate to Earl Monroe?

I think back to the day when Earl Monroe left Baltimore. Similar situation? Sort of. LeBron has left Cleveland high and dry. He never was able to win a title there. So he is going to a new dream team. If he doesn’t win there it will be a shock. But is it his win or did he have to join up with Dwade and Bosh to get the job done. Is he the greatest. Not now, Kobe is!!! Yea Kobe won 3 rings with Shaq but after running Shaq out of town at least he stuck around long enough to get his 2. Back to Monroe. I was heartbroken when the Pearl bolted for New York (Roman was devastated). His reasons were more monetary then anything else, however. When he came back to Btown the first time as a Knick, I booed my heart out. Then the Pearl poured more salt into the wound by having one of his greatest games. So Earl joins Clyde and the Knicks and wins the title playing a much more minor role. He was never the same Magician again. Doesn’t he look strange in a Knicks uniform? Thirty years later the Wizards retire his number and honor him in DC. What does he say at the podium? “I should have never left Baltimore. It was never the same in New York.” I hope this is not LeBron’s fate. (PS –Freddy called the move to Miami 10 days ago.)
