The tape of tonight’s game will not be sent to the Hall of Fame. There was a lid on both baskets. The Terps shot 19% in the first half and were 20-72 overall. That being said the Terps composed themselves in the 2nd half and dominated the rest of the game. The following is from umterps.com:

I keep hearing rebuilding but I haven’t seen any evidence that this team has any major deficiencies. Once Dara Taylor entered this game it was over and done. She is a pleasure to watch–quick, smooth, great court vision and court sense. Also, Tianna Hawkins is a prime time player. However , I anxiously await to see how the see responds when they go up against a ranked team. All in all, a great start for both basketball teams.

It’s hard to assess the team’s performance in such a one sided game.  DiandA Tchatchouang and Tianna Hawkins have led the way in the 2 games for the Terps, but I am glad the regular season starts Saturday night. I am beginning to believe that Brenda might have a better team then most fans expect.
