Everyone at Maryland is saddened by the death of Bob Novak. Gary released the following statement today.
“Robert Novak was a true friend of Maryland Basketball. Both Lefty Driesell and myself enjoyed Bob’s loyal support. His friendship never waivered. Once Bob and I became friends, we were friends for life. Bob’s college basketball teams were Maryland and Illinois, his alma mater. His love of our team and passion for the game were always there for our team and myself. Bob will be greatly missed.”
