Huge Games for Field Hockey and Men’s Soccer on the Road Today

Sitting atop the ACC standings, the No. 5 Maryland men’s soccer team travels to No. 3 Wake Forest for a pivotal conference match Saturday. The contest kicks off at 7 p.m. at Spry Stadium. Jason Herrick continues to be the main scoring threat for Maryland (10-3-1, 4-1-1 ACC). Herrick leads the conference in goals (8) and game-winners (6). The junior forward has tallied three-straight game-winning scores and has four goals in the last three matches. Maryland is in first place in the ACC standings heading into this weekend with two conference tilts remaining.

The No. 1-ranked Maryland field hockey team will head south this weekend to take on the No. 2 North Carolina Tar Heels Saturday at 1 p.m. This is the first time these undefeated teams have met this year. Maryland is 16-0 on the year and 4-0 in the ACC, while the Tarheels are 15-0 overall and 4-0 in the conference as well.
