Field Hockey Completes Perfect 18-0 Regular Season Defeating Stanford 6-2

No. 1-ranked Maryland field hockey team claimed the first 18-0 regular season record in program history Friday night in a 6-2 win over No. 12 Stanford.  “We can’t say enough about this senior class and about the competitive environment they brought out to watch this game,” head coach Missy Meharg said. “Brianna Davies, Alexis Pappas, Emma Thomas, Kristina Foster, Nicole Muracco, Ameliet Rischen and Alicia Graterhave left a mark on Maryland field hockey for the first-ever perfect season.”

In the win, junior Katie O’Donnell became the all-time career points leader at Maryland with 193. She is still second in all-time assists with 64. Her two-goal, one-assist performance was one of many great ones from the Terrapins Friday evening.(from umterps.com)
