14000 Watch Greivis Barely Miss Triple Double in 98-55 Win

Observations of a blowout win at Comcast

Greivis seems to be round into shape as the ACC Season approaches. Greivis finished with 27 points, 11 assists, and 8 rebounds.  Gary had the following to say after the game: “I think you saw tonight what he is capable of. It is there and it will happen. Hopefully he is on his way. I thought he played about like that in the second half of the Eastern Kentucky game, carrying into tonight. Hopefully it will be there the next game. That’s very important because he is a leader and he helps everyone else when he is playing at that level.

The Terps move to 7-3 still awaiting their first ACC contest.

It was good to see Adrian Bowie nail 3 threes tonight.

Mosley again was solid on both ends.

The game was tight for awhile which could become problematic for the Terps.

Gary got some quality minutes for James Padgett and Jordan as he realizes both will be needed in the ACC immediately.

Next up for the Terps is Florida Atlantic on Sunday at 2PM.

A win is always good, but playing an undersized “Little Sisters of the Poor” team isn’t going to impress the NCAA Tournament committee. I would prefer Maryland to play a tougher out of conference schedule and help them prepare for the ACC. Congrats to Jimmy Patsos and Loyola for their win over the Hoosiers at Bloomington.
