Intensity of the Highest Order — Gary Williams Running His Practice

I had the opportunity to attend one of the Terrapins practices a few days ago. The Coach is certainly the most intense, attentive mentor I have ever seen. He watches over every play , teaching every member of the team.  This was part of the Fastbreakers night with the team. Afterwards we joined the coaches and the team for dinner.  Join the Fastbreakers–it is inexpensive and puts the fans in much closer touch with the team. Talking with Dino Gregory and James Padgett, I can assure you they

anxiously anticipate going up against one of the biggest front lines in College basketball when they face FSU on Sunday night.

this picture is a perfect example of why the terps may have trouble with big front lines this year. look how short the guy is in the middle. he stands little chance against someone like solomon alabi of who is 7’1″. we need to get bigger.
