Maryland (15-6 overall, 3-4 ACC) defeated Virginia Tech (12-8, 2-4) on the road, 60-44, to break a three-game slide. Senior Lori Bjork led the Terps with her second 20-point performance of the season with a season-high 22 points. This comes on the heels of 2 excruciating home losses to Miami and Duke. Bjork registered double-figure points for the ninth consecutive game. Kizer’s 18 points and career-high 16 rebounds gave the Woodbridge, Va., native her 15th career and sixth season double-double. Maryland scored 34 of its points inside the paint, partially in part to the good looks Kizer got from the guards.
