Terps Move To 14 in Jeff Sagarin’s Rankings—Still No Recognition Nationally

How in the world can Maryland continue to receive virtually no national attention?  On the Sports Reporters this morning Mike Lupica referred to Duke as clearly the best team in the ACC and on the way to a possible #1 seed in the dance.  Duke is 11-2 and the Terps are 11-3. 2nd Place Major Conference teams are given ups everywhere except in the ACC. There was more talk about Carolina’s win over Wake.

Meanwhile in the Jeff Sagarin’s Rankings have moved the Terps up to 14th in the nation–a number that seems right to unbiased me!!!

the only ranking that means anything is where your team is ranked at the end of the tournament. bring on duke. my hope is that vitale has a bad cough on wednesday and can’t do the game. how much oh oh oh baby baby super sensational diaper dandy oh oh i have only one eye and oh oh dick vitale dot com oh oh oh can any one take. the man never says anything of substance when doing a game.. he’s a great motivational speaker. raises millions for charities but is horrible doing games. rather have the putz’s from espnu or espn 23 do the games. or even harpo marx. oh oh oh oh oh

if you really had listened to what lupica said there would be no reason to make a comment on what he said. he was talking about coach k and roy williams and mentioned duke was ranked number 4. let’s be real maryland as of this sunday is not ranked. duke is number 4. quite a big difference in itself. that said again you need to pay attention to what lupica was talking about which is something you did not.

@fred. the point is they *should be* ranked. ken pom has md at #11. some other rating guy (i’m too lazy to look it up) says md is really a 3/4 seed, but they’ll probably get a 7/8 and get to the sweet 16.
