Orioles GM faced questions from most important base-Season Ticket holders. Here were some of the topics.
–When asked about the obligation of the O’s not to forfeit the rest of the season by dumping Vets, Andy admitted to be caught in the middle. He polled those present who in a majority decision said to contine the dumping.
— Andy vigorously defended the reacquistion of Tejada versus Mora actually saying he hasn’tlost a bit of sleep over the move. He emphasized that Miggy is tremendous plus in the clubhouse.
–He admitted he must be more careful when signing NL free agents after the failures of Gonzo and Atkins. A fan correctly pointed out that NL players usually don’t perform the same when moving to the AL.
–He defended the efforts of Rick Kranitz after 1 fan blistered the O’s pitching coach.
–Finally it seems like Juan Samuel is under deep consideration as the future O’s manager.
— he closed by saying the fans were easy on him considering the dismal record.
