This story has been a hot potato all day, but as of 12AM Comcast was scrolling that James Franklin has indeed accepted the Head coaching job at Vanderbilt University. This certainly ends the speculation that has probably been a negative over the past 3 or 4 years about who the head coach will be. I would say however that I believe that James never gave anything less that 110% in attempts to win. James is a very confident guy who never had to worry about his next job. When you look at the Cowboys, you have to wonder if Jason Garrett really helped Wade Phillips or was part of the problem. Now we have to worry how many recruits we might lose to James. One thing for sure I don’t believe we will ever see a coach in waiting again at Maryland.
