Chris Singleton is a fantastic defender. With him present FSU was coasting to an NCAA berth. But, Chris is out tonight against the Terps. Big Difference!
Scouiting report on FSU
Florida State comes to College Park third in the ACC standings with a 9-3 record in the league… The Seminoles have won eight of their last 10 and are 19-7 overall this season…Junior forward Chris Singleton broke his foot in FSU’s win over Virginia on Feb. 12 and is out for an undetermined time… He ranks 12th in the league in scoring (13.8), 10th in rebounding (7.1) and second in steals (2.1)… Singleton was also the 2010 ACC Defensive Player of the Year…Without Singleton, none of Florida State’s starters are averaging in double figures… Senior guard Derwin Kitchen averages 9.6 ppg and had 29 points in the last meeting between the two schools… Kitchen is tied for ninth in the league with 3.6 assists per game…
Can Terrell Stoglin his previous 2 games? Will the Seniors step up for Maryland? Can the Terps get to 80 against this excellent defense? Should be a great game!!!
