ESPN Analysis:
Strengths:
The younger Cassell is starting to assert himself more on the offensive end shooting the ball off a jab and taking advantage of his 6’2, lengthy frame to post up smaller guards like his dad did for so long. He has the length to be a nice defender and guard the 1 or 2. Sam is able to see over the defense and pinpoint his pass. He has a high basketball IQ and knows how to score or a setup a teammate.
My take–the bloodlines usually run true. His dad, Sam Cassell was one of the smartest, most clutch guards to play in the NBA. Jr is spending his Senior year in Massachusetts at Notre Dame Prep.
