Pathetic Showing From The Ravens Offense—“It Baffles me that Ray Rice Only Had 8 carries”—Terrell Suggs

Hold that air reservation to Indy in February. This team will never get there if this is how it plays in the National spotlight.

For those of you who listened to The Sports Maven on Saturday, you heard my warning. The Jags lost to the Steelers 17-13 at Heinz Field. Why would anyone think that this was going to be a blowout? I said on the air I had a sick feeling about this game. When the Ravens are on the road everything is fine as long as they get off to a good start. But this team just cannot come from behind on the road.

Here’s the bottom line: As horrific as the offense was, the Ravens had the ball with 1:43 left and had to generate 1 more drive to win a game. But this just doesn’t happen with this team. Save the Pittsburgh game last year, #5 has not engineered winning drives on the road.

Torrey’s sideline catch on the touchdown drive was incredible. How did he hold on to the ball?

Did you ever see so many empty seats. Was the end zone judged to be unsafe because no one was sitting there. This was the franchise that was selected over Baltimore for an expansion team. What a joke!!!

I hope that Suggs’ comment in the headlines of this article is not a prelude to any form of locker room problems. Terrell —–Ray has been living with this for 16 years.

I really am not  too upset because even if we had won, it is clear that we are not a team that could take on Green Bay, score 40 and win. Yes we should make the playoffs but somewhere along the line we will collapse again. It’s the same old song!!!

I love how #52 never shows up a teammate or a Coach in the public eye. He feels the worse of any Raven because he knows the window is closing quickly.

Sorry Coach Harbaught with 2:15 left and 2 timeouts it was a wrong decision to try an onsides kick for the following reasons:

You are down by 2 and Cundiff would kick it out of the end zone.

You haveto hold the Jags to Zero first downs no matter what. In essence the Jags offense was as bad as the Ravens. Hold and get the ball at the 40 or so.

Failing at the onsides kick was like giving Scobee and the Jags 3 points.

So now we are even with the Steelers and have to defeat them on the road to eventhink about the home field advantage. The scenario is all too sickenly familiar.

Props to the thousands of Ravens fansfans that were at the game. It’s funny that I was thinking this year about going to Talahasse Saturday for the FSU Maryland game and then driving to Jacksonville for the Ravens game. Glad I didn’t.

Cundiff’s miss of the 52 yd FG was a critical blow to the Ravens chances of winning.

i’m sure flacco will take a lot of heat from the fans but the off line was terrible and the outside receivers played like jr high kids. guys were never open. so if flacco is being pressured, the running backs can’t find holes and the receivers can’t get separation from the d backs what’s a q.b. to do?
