Okay I was wrong. Mosley will not move to point. That position will belong again to Sophomore Terrell Stoglin. The Terps are down to 7 scholarship players. 4 Guards–Stoglin, Mosley, Mychal Parker, and Nick Faust and 3 Bigs—Pankey, Weijs, and Padgett. The NCAA Clearance of Alex Len is now even more crucial to the hopes of this year’s team. Wow–what a brutal day for Maryland.

good spacing, quick passes and hopefully good outside shooting can win md some games. really hard to predict how this will all pan out. moseley has been a disappointment shooting wise his entire career at md. stoglin loves to shoot but isn’t a pure shooter. parker, padgett, weijs all have poor past performances. pankey isn’t expected to be an offensive player and len is a real unknown. can stoglin score and distribute the ball or will he be like playing pick-up with bunny wilson or richard feldstein at the jcc. one guy hogging the ball and always shooting. will paying fans show up to watch the games if the team is really bad. for md. optimists, like myself maybe len is that rare kinda player that can step in and excel right from the start. rebound, block shots and score inside on a consistent basis. maybe padgett can get 7-8 rebounds a game a score 7-8 points. maybe weijs can score 6 a game a block 3 shots. maybe moseley and stoglin can get 15 a game and parker and pankey can use their athleticism and grab some boards and play better than average defense. and faust can get 12-14 points a game and be a lock down defender. can md score in the high 60’s– play tough d and be competitive. guess we gonna find out. could be a year with pleasant surprises or a real nightmare. will turgeon’s hair look like gary’s after the year where he’ll need the help of clyde frazier and keith hernandez…or worse yet like vitale’s.
