Two minutes into the first half with the Terps struggling offensively, PeShon has entered the game. Ashton Pankey is off to another good start using his physical presence to dominate the inside. The Terps trail however 12-8 at the first break.
PeShon hits his first shot a pull up 3 pointer to give the Terps their first lead. The Terps look a little out of sorts struggling to get decent opportunities. At the second break the Terps trail by 3 mainly on some strong 3 point shooting by Radford. So far Stogs–0 points.
The offense is rolling a little better with Pe hitting a 3. Faust has chucked 3 air balls all resulting in Terrapin buckets on put backs. The Terps just can’t get Terrell any decent looks. 26-24 Radford with 7 minutes left in the half.
Interior passing is the order of the day as Pankey and Padgett have combined for 16 of the Terps 31 points but Terrell still has 0 as the Terps trail 31-30 with 4 minutes left. Down by 5, Coach Turgeon called timeout and Stoglin came out firing scoring 5 and bringing the game to 39 a piece at the half.
