10 Games Later The Terrapins Are Not So Small Anymore—Alex Len’s Debut a Success

14 points — 4 Dunks — 8 Rebounds in his first game as a Terp must make the biggest skeptic happy. This is now a different team. By the way the Terps won 83-72 and as usual they somewhat struggled against an inferior opponent but got the job done.

Stoglin had 22 points on 6 threes and Nick Faust provided some key buckets finishing with 10 points.

But the real story of the game is that PeShon and Len are now in the lineup, the Terps have 9 scholarship players and no longer have to rely on minutes from walk-ons. Nick Faust can now run like the wing that he is and doesn’t have to play 35 minutes. With Pe at the point Stogs will constantly get better looks. With Len in the lineup, this is no longer a small team that has to fear when the Carolina bigs come to town.

Listen, this is still a work in progress but everyone we have the man in Mark Turgeon who can blend this unit. Improve the defense, cut back on the turnovers, find the proper rotation, get a big win against a ranked opponent, and who knows what can happen. But one thing is for sure, when the calvary arrives next year look out.
