It’s a great day to be a Terp. What a honor I had last night to be on the podium with Haed Coach Randy Edsall when he was officially called about the announcement that Stefon Diggs, the #6 player in the country had decided to attend the university of Maryland on a football scholarship. This is the highest ranked recruit Maryland has ever had.
Stefon had been recruited by over 30 schools but his decision came down to Auburn, Florida, The Ohio State University and Maryland. Stefon decided to stay at home and play for Maryland. What a tremendous day for stefon and his family. He is an instant legend at College Park as seen by the throngs at Looney’s last night.
I feel great for Coach Edsall who along with his staff worked endlessly to make this happen. There is no doubt that the hiring of Mike Locksley as offensive coordinator greatly impacted the decision. What a great day for every Maryland loyalist in Terrapin nation. I will have much more to say on Kelly & Associates Insurance Group Terp Talk Saturday morning at 8AM and Koons Ford Presents The Sports Mavern at 9AM.

Embarrassing display of reporting by The Sun of headlining O’ Brien’s leaving as a done deal. Then not even updating their site with Diggs signing. Also posting a story about 5star failures before Diggs even committed. Pretty pathetic.
Also news is saddened with the surprising and disappointing news of PShons season ending injury. A big blow to an over achieving group. Time for Nick to step up, and if anyone can get it done it is Turgeon.
