His high school Coach and his Baltimore mentor Carlton Carrington both spoke of his verbal to the Terps.

His Dad Sam Cassell apparently wants him to continue his search before he signs his LOI.

Hopefully Sam Jr will be a Terp!!!!

if he comes to md fine if he doesn’t come it’s o.k. too. it’s not like the terps are losing a moses malone type player. he wouldn’t start over faust this year as a shooting guard and if the harrison twins come he won’t start over either one of those guys. if the twins don’t come his best chance to play would be at point guard. he would add depth, though.
