Little things I remember:
Walking to the game down Peachtree Lane with Chuck Rosolio and then NBA Star Sam Cassell SR. I asked Sam if he was a Terp fan that night—he assured me he was. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm!
The streets were lined with thousands of IU fans who journeyed to Atlanta without tickets just to be a prt of the night.
Hugging my friend Dr Irv Raffel in the hotel. Irv was near tears of happiness repeating ‘it was finally our time”
Being in the hotel when the Maestro –Gary Williams led the team back in. As Gary sat down to eat, there were hundreds trying to congratulate him.
But most of all –and I am getting filled up as I write this piece at 2AM—I remember standing on the court shortly after the game ended and watching ONE SHINING MOMENT on the overhead screen along with the team and the Maryland fans in attendance!!!!! Here is the wrap up video ending with the song
