IMG_0848I made the 75 minute drive to Emmittsburg last night to watch the Terps.Before the game I spoke to Coach Tillman and told him was almost like the Terps on Tour–whenever Maryland takes to the road to a lacrosse hotbed record crowds ensue. The record crowd inspired the Mount who battled for 60 minutes. Some excellent saves by Niko and great play by Joe were the difference.
The new pride unit worn at the Hopkins have been a huge hit. I saw at least 50 kids wearing the #31 and screaming for for #31 –Niko Amato.
The more I watch Goran Murray, the more I realize that Coach Tillman will have the best long pole defender in the game for the next 3 years.
Charley Raffa shared the X position with Curtis last night and more then held his own winning 6 of 10 face-offs.
Remember this the supposed hottest team in lacrosse right now is Duke who barely escaped with a w over Maryland last week.
Next up is Bellarmine Saturday at high noon.
