Redemption Day As Andino Goes Deep to Give O’s 5-4 Victory over Seattle—Brilliant Effort By Chen
Wei Yin Chen had a perfect game for 6 1/3 innings but after faltering , the bullpen failed to hold a 4-1 lead. JJ pitched a perfect 1-2-3 9th. Chen went 7 1/3 inning with 0 walks and 9 K’s. Jim Thome went 1-4 with 2 strikeouts.
I stayed up to watch this game and my heart absolutely sunk when Strop couldn’t get the hold. It was a slight night of redemption for Andino with the game winning home run, though you have to feel bad for Chen who doesn’t get the win after pitching brilliantly.
