Wow!!The Terps broke on top 17-0 and never relinquishd the lead. Stefon had 4 marquis plays today but the best was his 360 move on the short pass route.
The defense bent today giving up 168 yards rushing but never broke. The Terps led by Darrien Drakeford collected 5 sacks.

Stefon Diggs returned the opening kickoff 100 yards for a touchdown and fellow freshman Perry Hills threw for one TD and ran for another as Maryland defeated Virginia 27-20 in Atlantic Coast Conference action on Saturday.
The kickoff return was the beginning of a 17-point lead the Terrapins would build in the first quarter.
Up 7-0, Maryland ended Virginia’s first possession when Anthony Nixon intercepted a Phillip Sims pass and returned it to the Virginia 32. Five plays later, Hills connected on a 20-yard touchdown pass to Justus Pickett to put Maryland ahead 14-0 less than five minutes into the game.
I have been waiting all year for Stefon to break a return to the house. But because Comcast decided the Richmond New Hamphire Game carried more importance—the Baltimore area missed the first half hour of the game. Thank goodness for Johnny Holliday.

Obviously the network was contractually obligated to continue coverage on an unresolved game. Not disparaging the importance of Terp game.
Was concerned when Md ran out to 17-0 lead as did Duke against VT, but we held on as Duke folded.
Definitely some O line injuries are killing the offense.
Plus they need to open up the offense, spread it our.
Still do not see Hills as the answer, but he is feisty and competitive, which will not get it done against the big boys ahead, especially with that O Line.
Happy the coach now has players who will play fir him…big difference. Need more Diggs level players to keep D honest…
